Lauren Alessi - Cabrini Field Hockey - has been chosen as one of the areas Field Hockey Scholar Athlete by the Philadelphia Inquirer during her junior year season at Cabrini College.


Elise Allan - Swimmer - Brandeis University (Waltham, MA)

 

Danielle Altersitz - Montclair Field Hockey & Team USA - Silver medal won at the Maccabiah Games in Israel Dani's team won the ECAC Championship. All three games were shut-outs. However, yesterday's game was tied at 0-0 at half and they came back strong to win 3-0.  Their team has the least goals scored against them in their conference.  Danielle was also named Eastern College Athletic Conference 2009 Division III Mid-Atlantic Field Hockey Most Outstanding Player!!! 

 

Dimitri Athans - NJIT Tennis
Former Dragon Dimitri Athans is currently featured on the GCC athletics web page. Athans completed an outstanding career at GCC in 2007 and is now continuing to perform well at NJIT at the NCAA Division I level. Angelo F. Borzio Jr - Wrestling - East Stroudsburg University - Cross Country, Wrestling and Track at Kingsway. Wrestled Division I at East Stroudsburg University. Wrestled for 10 years on Freestyle Olympic Circuit. Coached wrestling for 11 years at ESU. Now own and operate a contracting company in Stroudsburg PA.

 

Mellany Broomall - Widener University - Field Hockey and Lacrosse


Alli Catenacci - Rowan - Cross Country/Track - A captain for cross country and track as a sophomore. All-conference runner in 2008-09. Earned the 2008-09 Rowan Distinguished Scholar distinction.

 

Aubrey Coleman - University of Iowa - Field Hockey


Tad Damask - Delaware State University - Cross Country and Track - urrently teaching at Polytech High School in Woodside Delaware

 

Brittany Dipper (2008)- University of Maryland - is the starting lacrosse goalie for the national champion University of Maryland Terrapins. A dual athlete, Dipper performs kick saves and other moves uncommon on the lacrosse field without hesitation, translating her experience as a reserve for the field hockey team to her position as starting goalie for the undefeated No. 2 women's lacrosse team. more

Erik Harris - Siena College Basketball


Mark Hopely - Liberty University - Cross Country/Track - 2-time All Big South Conference runner in track. Conference champion in the distance medley relay in 2007. Made the Big South Presidential Honor Roll. A consistent top-7 varsity runner in cross country for one of the better Div 1 teams in the US.

Caitlyn Jenkins - College of New Jersey - Rookie of the Week -Freshman • Forward • Mickleton, NJ/Kingsway - Jenkins earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for the third time this season and the second consecutive week and collecting three points in a 2-1 week of play for the Lions. She opened the week by assisting on a goal during TCNJ’s 4-3 NJAC win over Kean. Two days later, she scored a goal in the final NJAC contest of her season, a 3-0 Lions’ victory over Ramapo. Jenkins, who did not score in TCNJ’s 2-1 double-overtime road defeat at Cortland, currently ranks seventh in the NJAC in total goals scored with 10 on the season. TCNJ News

Jack Kirschling - SOUTH JERSEY BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME Induction February 13, 2011 He was one of the first outstanding players to come out of Kingsway High School. He was a force both on the inside and the outside during his playing days for the Dragons. In his junior season he led Kingsway to a 19-5 record. At that time it was the first winning basketball season at the school in over 15 years. That season he was named to the South Jersey Group 1 team after averaging over 22 points a game and set the school single game record at the time with 41 points. He also set the school single season record with 532 points. He was slowed by injuries in his senior season. Despite the setback he earned a scholarship to Temple University.

He became a starter on the Temple freshman team where he averaged in double figures. He then went on to

play on the Temple varsity for three seasons. The highlight of his Temple career came when he scored 23

points against Wake Forest.

Ashley Kodluk (2008) - Davis & Elkins College - Girls Soccer - Davis & Elkins this year after attending GCC for three semesters. Honored as a Distinguished Academic All American.


Chelsea Ley - Cross Country - University of Virgina Earned All-NCAA Southeast Region honors, helping her team win the Region, thereby getting an automatic berth to the NCAA championships.

Amber Limanni - Long Island University Field Hockey

 

Liz Locke - South Carolina - COLUMBIA, S.C. - South Carolina freshman Liz Locke has been named the SEC Cross Country Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon. Locke was recognized after her performance at the Minnesota Griak Invitational. read more


Stephanie McAllister (2006)- Rowan University Swimming - Stephanie swam for the profs all four years while at Rowan where she had much success. She competed mostly in the middle distance stroke events. She was named NJAC conference swimmer of the week her freshman year after the profs defeated their rival team, the TCNJ Lions. She placed in the finals at every conference championship with her greatest accomplishments being her 3rd place finsih in the 200 backstroke at the F&M invitational meet, and her 7th place finish in the 200 backstroke and 3rd place finish in the ! 200 medly relay at the Metroplolitan Championships. She was named captain of the womens swim team her senior year.

 

Eddie McKernan (2009) – Kingsway’s Boys Lacrosse all-time points leader. Is currently playing Division 1 Lacrosse for Jacksonville University Men’s Lacrosse Team. Wearing #29 he has moved his way up to #1 Midfielder on the 4th line and expects to see action this year.

This year is Jacksonville Men’s Lacrosse inaugural season. They are playing a very tough schedule that includes top 20 opponents UNC, Duke, Rutgers, Bucknell, Denver and Hostra. Check out www.judolphins.com

RJ Page (Class of 2009) - was named The America East Conference male track performer of the week while running sprints at Boston University. At the Battle of Beantown, which was run at Harvard University, RJ placed 1st in the 60 meters (6.89 sec.), and set a meet record (22.06 sec.) in the 200 meters.He broke the Boston University school record in the 200 (read more)

Melissa Sanger - (Kingsway Class of 2007) has been recognized as the #1 goal tender in NCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer as of 9/23/11 Melissa plays for LaSalle University. She has posted 7 straight shotouts for the "Explorers" who currently have a record of 7-0.
